Introduction: Memory and concentration are two main components of cognitive functions that play a significant role in the human learning process. The purpose of this research is to compare the effectiveness of two therapeutic methods of mindfulness training and transcranial electrical stimulation along with N-Back memory strengthening exercise in improving the memory function and concentration of students. Method: The current research method is applied and the method of data collection is semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test research design. In order to investigate the objectives of the research, 30 subjects were selected by available sampling method and randomly divided into two groups of 15 people. All participants performed Wechsler clinical memory test and TOVA test. Then one group underwent a mindfulness test and the other group participated in transcranial electrical stimulation sessions along with N-Back memory strengthening exercise. At the end, both groups were re-evaluated. Findings: The results of this research showed that both intervention methods, namely mindfulness training and transcranial electrical stimulation along with N-Back memory strengthening exercise, improve memory and concentration. Both methods had an effect on improving attention performance. In terms of memory components, the two groups differed only in the visual memory component. Based on the results, transcranial electrical stimulation combined with N-Back memory training was more effective than mindfulness training. Conclusion: According to the results, it seems that both methods are effective in improving attention, but biological treatments perform better. It will be when biological foundations and specific cognitive processes are considered.

Objective: Sluggish Cognitive Tempo is one of the new disorders that has been seriously considered in cognitive psychology and can be influenced by various factors. Hence, the purpose of this study was develop a structural model to explain Predicting Sluggish Cognitive Tempo based on cognitive-emotional regularity and cognitive ability with the mediating variable of cognitive load in children. The research method was correlational and structural equation modeling. For this purpose, from among the statistical population of elementary school students in Tabriz city in the academic year of 1400-1401,Number of 200 students by screening method and using the SCT Penny et al scale (2009) were selected as the sample group. The instruments used in this study was include scales of Cognitive Emotion Regulation Garnfsky et al (2009), Cognitive Ability Questionnaire (Nejati, 2013),Cognitive load Klepsch et al (2017). the data were analyzed using structural equation modeling and SPSS 22 and SMART PLS software and Sobel test.The results showed that the conceptual model developed had a good fit with the data.The results of the structural relationships of the model showed that cognitive-emotional regularity and cognitive ability have a direct and significant effect on Sluggish Cognitive Tempo (p˂0.01). Also, cognitive ability had a direct and significant effect on cognitive load (p˂0.01), but cognitive-emotional regulation did not have a direct and significant effect on cognitive load (p˂0.15). The results of indirect relationships showed that cognitive-emotional regularity and cognitive ability with the mediating variable of cognitive load have a significant effect on Sluggish Cognitive Tempo (p˂0.01). Based on the results, the cognitive-emotional regularity and cognitive ability effect on cognitive load and Sluggish Cognitive Tempo.Therefore, by developing programs to educate and increase cognitive-emotional regularity and cognitive ability and reduce cognitive load in people with Sluggish Cognitive Tempo can be expected to improve Sluggish Cognitive Tempo in them.

The aim of this study wasCheck to the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment based therapy on cognitive flexibility, perceived stress, quality of life, adherence to treatment and biomarkers (A1C) in patients with type 2 diabetes.The present study was a quasi-experimental study and its design was divided into two experimental groups and a control group with three stages of pre-test, post-test and follow-up (Six months). The statistical population of the present study included all patients with type 2 diabetes who had a file in the Isfahan Diabetes Association in 1398 and 1399 . The sample size was considered for each group of 15 people. The sampling method was purposive and individuals were randomly selected into two groups of acceptance and commitment therapy (n = 15), and control group (n = 15). In this study, data were used using demographic characteristics questionnaire, cognitive flexibility questionnaire, perceived stress questionnaire, adherence therapy questionnaire, quality of life questionnaire for diabetic patients, acceptance and practice questionnaire, second edition and glycosylated hemoglobin test (E.NOC). (HbA1c) were obtained. The results showed that there acceptance and commitment based therapy on cognitive flexibility, perceived stress, quality of life, adherence to treatment and biomarkers (A1C) in patients with type 2 diabetes

Introduction: According to recent researches, biases in information processing and its relation with other factors such as craving and personality traits play a vital role in the etiology and maintenance of drug dependence disorders. The aim of the present study was to investigate the moderator role of personality characteristics on relationship between cognitive biases and craving in opium dependent individuals. Method: To do so, 100 male opiate dependent individuals were selected by convenience sampling. The primary data collection was conducted using Prob Dot task, Memory Recognition task, Word-stem Completion test, Craving Beliefs Questionnaire and Neo big five Personality Scale. The data were analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis. Findings: The results indicated that personality variables moderated the relationship between craving with attentional bias and implicit memory bias, but these factors did not have any effect on the relationship between craving and explicit memory bias. Conclusion: The results showed that automatic cognitive processes such as attention and implicit memory are bottom-up processes and tend to be affected by personality traits, whereas consciousness cognitive processes such as explicit memory is top-down processing and is influenced by individuals’ conception.

Introduction: People’s perception about the world they live in is one of the abilities that can influence their decisions or actions in different situations. The main aim of the present study was to investigate the factors that could affect people’s perception. Method: To do so, 64 students of Payame Noor University were selected using random sampling method. After answering the Personality and Critical Thinking Questionnaires, the subjects watched a film which included a fixed dialogue performed in 4 different situations for 5 minutes. Then, based on the film, they responded to a questionnaire. Results: The findings showed that there is no significant relationship between personality traits and critical thinking. However, there were significant relationships between some personality traits and situation elements. In addition, three cognitive abilities including inductive thinking, evaluation and deduction were associated with the location shown in the film. Finally, the results indicated the significant correlation between thinking with location and people’s perception. Conclusion: This research showed that thinking is essential for perception. In addition, through transferring its elements as information units as well as interfering in the type of employed cognitive ability, situational context affects people's type of conception
